LPI is currently recruiting national partners that share the dream of a
connected community of fellow members. LPI supplies the missing piece
to hundreds of national sites, the "my local" link.
While almost every national site has a nice referral system in place to help visitors locate and
link to the locals that are on the web, there is a problem with this design. Most Locals
don't have a site of their own, or it's
not current, or it is not professionally
designed, or it no longer exists. These
flaws show up on every national organization's site, for a variety of reasons.
Each chapter has difficulty developing and maintaining their own site. Investing time and money into a
system for an entire national infrastructure is a daunting task, to say the least.

LPI has developed the software package and service that makes developing and
maintaining a web presence easy on an individual chapter level. Together with nationals,
we can develop strategies and programs that respond to the needs of all locals. The national
site is not only the portal, it becomes the town square for all of these local affiliates.
Every national is set up just a little differently and has to be addressed on a case by
case basis. Some have already taken the step of providing member focused content and
service on an individual level, but the local connection isn't quite there yet. Every
chapter can benefit from the LPI service. The program does not alienate
local groups that have taken steps towards an on-line community; it assists them the most.
